All-Southern Conference football teams announced
Nov 26, 2024 · – The Southern Conference’s nine football coaches have selected their annual all-conference teams and specialty awards for the 2024 season. Mercer running back Dwayne McGee is the Offensive Player of the Year and Bears defensive lineman Brayden Manley is the Defensive Player of the Year.

2025 SoCon football schedule announced
Dec 19, 2024 · – The Southern Conference’s 36-game league football schedule for 2025 is set to get under way Saturday, Sept. 6, with a The Citadel visiting Samford. Another solo SoCon game follows on Sept. 13 when Wofford hosts defending SoCon champion Mercer.
SoCon football preseason all-conference team, poll announced
Jul 23, 2024 · The Terriers had nine all-conference selections, including a league-best five first-team picks. The Citadel rounded out the poll with eight points and one preseason all-conference selection. The SoCon’s 2024 season gets underway with four league squads in action on Thursday, Aug. 29.
