Feb 25, 2023 · It has no check engine light, it throws no codes. The transmission has been rebuilt, torque converter replaced and checked a 2nd time. Smoke test? It passed. Throttle body was dirty, it was cleaned, twice (2 different visits to a European auto mechanic), no change in symptoms. Spark plugs have been replaced.

Nov 4, 2008 · The car wanted to die everytime I went up a hill. I put the car in drive and it did much better. However, it died going down a hill. It would start and idle fine, but when I would step on the accelerater it would die. The mechanic at the Fort Scott garage said the computer went out and it would be over $700 to fix.

May 11, 2005 · A new height sensor on the rear was changed. Now the compressor does not run at all, no matter how much weight is put on the back. The mechanic says it may be the compressor is bad, however, it ran fine before the switch was installed, just all the time, until I pulled the fuse. I do not think that is the problem. The fuse is OK also. Any ideas?

Oct 5, 2024 · Mechanic shop responses so far: 1. The first mechanic shop quoted me $1000 to change the radiator but when I asked him to show result of pressure test, it passed. 2. I asked the second mechanic shop to replace the water pump and was quoted $1074 for the job.
