Dec 10, 2022 · I downloaded MPC beats since it came with the controller for free and it is way, way more complicated than I realized (but perhaps not more complicated than I expected). Should I invest my time learning the ins and outs of MPC beats or is it trash and I'm going to have to move to a different DAW anyway, so I might as well do it now?

Apr 5, 2021 · It's not that hard to figure ins and outs of MPC Beats. I own Ableton Live and FL Studio too, but still appreciate MPC Beats and spend my time in it mostly. Love the streamlined workflow. Yes it has limitations and exactly these limitations push my creativity to the next level.

As long as you have your Maschine set up with NI controller editor to the basic midi setup, it works basically out of the box with MPC beats. Just switch your Maschine to midi mode and make sure that MPC beats knows your Maschine as "Master, Control, Track" Midi input.
