Nov 3, 2024 · Looking at the down-ballot races, people didn't vote for Trump - they voted for the Republican party as a whole. The economy and inflation was the #1 issue with the majority of people who bothered to vote, and as history shows, the party in charge always gets blamed (rightly or wrongly) when the economy is the main thing on people's minds.
