To Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, At present in the world, there are many critical areas such as the India assassination investigation and official response, the war in Ukraine and the exploding Middle East, to name a few, that require careful handling. Head-of-state leaders with long-term international experience are crucial at this juncture. Probably the most pressing challenge is the danger brewing with the estranged and disruptive stepchild to the south. From 16 years of your youth in the household of your father, then prime minister Pierre Trudeau, to your present residency as the sitting prime minister, the world, its events and players have been the focus of your experience. This has given you a unique perspective that a newcomer to the arena could not possess. I think you are handling the orange buffoon just right. I believe he will be dismissed soon. Your international perspective and performance is a valuable Canadian asset which must not be underestimated. A big flaw in the government’s approach to managing resources and populations is the goal of creating enough “green energy” to replace the current fossil fuel mainstream/dirty sources. It is impossible to replace the amount of energy in the fossil fuel we use to run our society with renewable energy. Therefore, we must take a good look at how to best use the rich Canadian resources while charting a course with community self- sufficiency as its goal. I have previously introduced you to The Canadian Re-Ruralization Program developed by Rural Development A Team, Ecosense Solutions Inc. and The Institute of Ecolonomics. It has the prospect of reducing poverty, addressing head-on the housing crisis, homelessness, student lodging, enhancing local food supply, renewable energy production on a local level with technology already developed and proven. The rural Canadians I know see the enormous subsidies going to large corporations for industrial scale technologies such as tidal energy and battery production facilities in urban centers. A comprehensive Re-Ruralization Program would cost pennies on that kind of dollar and not have to be re-subsidized. This is a job creation and self-perpetuating plan with existing technologies that would demonstrate to rural Canadians that investing in their local health and prosperity would have the greatest returns. Where I am on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, there is poverty and a housing crisis. Nova Scotia is 49th in per capita GDP of all states in the United States and the Canadian provinces. Cape Breton is a fertile laboratory to show how the Re-Ruralization Plan can enhance health and security and spread throughout Canada. Community self-sufficiency is the best form of homeland security. This is especially true if the orange menace follows through with his idiotic and evil tariffs. So, in conclusion, I think that this is a terrible time for you to resign. As someone who spends half time in Canada and the United States, I believe it is best for both countries and the world for you to carry on. Peter LaVaute Columbia, MO & North Lake Ainslie, Cape Breton
