The 49ers have their sights set on a reunion with Robert Saleh. San Francisco expects Saleh to return as defensive coordinator if he does not accept an NFL head coaching job, a source told NBC Sports Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco on Thursday.

In a recent tweet, 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir seemed to indicate that he wanted the team to trade for Las Vegas Raiders star edge rusher Maxx Crosby, who is under contract for four years and $94 million through the 2026 season.
