Netflix Canada has announced what's coming and new on the streaming service in February 2025. This is besides the price increase that happened yesterday. For Netflix Games, Carmen San Diego is now available.

The Liberal government has spent years touting its efforts to make tech giants pay. Now, those pieces of legislation could be a target of the Trump administration — particularly the digital services tax that requires large tech companies to make a hefty retroactive payment in June.

The new prices for Netflix take effect immediately for new subscribers, while existing members will see the change on their next bill.

Netflix revealed it has now reached 301.63 million subscribers globally when it reported its fourth-quarter 2024 earnings Tuesday.

Flexing its pricing power, the company is rolling out price increases on several of its plans and in a handful of markets.

Shares of Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) soared after the video streaming company posted strong fourth-quarter results and offered an upbeat outlook. The standard plan with ads, the service’s cheapest offering in Canada is going up by $2 to $7.99. The standard plan without ads will increase by $2.50 a month to $18.99. The premium plan is up $3 a month to $23.99.

What were the shows that dropped the most episodes? How I Met Your Mother, which returned to Netflix as part of a 14-title deal with Disney, was the most popular with all nine seasons, consisting of 208 episodes. Lots of other shows and sitcoms from that deal also make up most of the other 20 titles.
