The US proposal to hold elections in Ukraine before the end of the year, especially in the case of a truce, looks like a "failed plan" if that's all the initiative consists of. This was stated by the adviser to the Ukrainian president on communications Dmitry Litvin in an interview with Reuters.

Trump and his envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, have said they are working on a plan to broker a deal to end the war, but have offered few details about their strategy or when they might unveil such a plan.

Trump's Ukraine envoy said Sunday that both Kyiv and Moscow would have to make concessions if they are to successfully negotiate a solution to the ongoing war.
