Japanese Rio Takeda dominated the Blue Bay LPGA, winning with 271 (69 69 69 64, -17) shots, six ahead of Australian Minjee Lee, second with 277 (-11), and seven ahead of Japanese Ayaka Furue, third with 278 (-10).

Rio Takeda shot a blistering 8-under 64 on Sunday to win the LPGA’s Blue Bay tournament by six shots ahead of Minjee Lee of Australia, the second LPGA title for the young Japanese player. The 21-year-old Takeda finished on 17-under 271 for the four rounds on China’s southern island of Hainan.

LPGA Tour rookie Rio Takeda carded an 8-under-par 64 on Sunday to cruise to a six-stroke victory at the Blue Bay LPGA on Hainan Island, China. Takeda, 21, captured her second LPGA Tour title after recording a bogey-free round to finish 17-under 271 at the Jian Lake Blue Bay Golf Course.
