Justin Lockett was arrested in connection with around 24 aggravated robberies, police said in a Thursday news release. He allegedly used a gun and a mask to target businesses mainly in the city’s southern and southwestern areas over several months, according to investigators.

Those arrested include a man believed to have committed the longest string of robberies by one person in city history, officials said.

A Houston-based ATM theft crew, suspected of multiple Fort Worth ATM thefts, was caught in the act last month, leading to seven arrests, police said Wednesday. Officers followed the crew to a bank ATM on Hulen Street in mid-January after the Fort Worth Tactical Intelligence Operations Surveillance Team received information about a planned heist.

Fort Worth police said they arrested nine people Monday in connection with a smash-and-grab robbery at an El Rancho Supermercado, which investigators believe caused up to $100,000 in total losses.
