Anthony Mackie reflects on the pressures of playing the new Captain America
In response to the backlash, Mackie clarified on his Instagram Story that he’s a “proud American”, and playing a hero like Cap is “the honour of a lifetime”. “I have the utmost respect for those who serve and have served our country. Captain America has universal characteristics that people all over the world can relate to,” he said.
