After nobody picked him up as a free agent following last season with the Orlando Magic, Fultz has been signed by the Sacramento Kings, who will look to the former No. 1 overall pick to help fill some of the point guard void left behind by the trade of De'Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs.

If he can stay healthy, this is a solid signing for the Kings. In Orlando, Fultz developed into a respectable rotation guard.

The Sacramento Kings signed former No. 1 overall draft pick Markelle Fultz for the remainder of the season. The team announced the deal with Fultz on Wednesday night as the Kings seek more depth at point guard after recently trading away star De'Aaron Fox.

CJ McCollum scored 37 of his 43 points after halftime — including 11 points in overtime — and the New Orleans Pelicans snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 140-133 victory over the Sacramento Kings.

The long losing streak that has lingered since Jan. 20 finally came to a halt, despite how the Pelicans played at times down the stretch Thursday night as if they wanted to keep the skid going. CJ McCollum made sure this one didn’t get away.
