Desmond Claude scored 19, Wesley Yates III had 15 and Southern California upset No. 7 Michigan State 70-64 on Saturday afternoon, snapping the Spartans 13-game winning streak.

The No. 7 Spartans trailed the entire game in a 70-64 loss against USC on Saturday at the Galen Center, ending a string of 13 straight victories. That also prevented Michigan State from the program’s first 10-0 start in Big Ten play and coach Tom Izzo from tying Bob Knight’s record with 353 Big Ten wins.

USC upset No. 7 Michigan State 70-64 out in LA and head coach Eric Musselman was thrilled with the way the Trojans responded. Back on Monday, USC fell at home to rival UCLA 82-76 and there were serious questions if USC could handle the pressure of playing the Spartans.
