Alabama Shakes' Zac Cockrell, Brittany Howard and Heath Fogg are shown in a photo shared to Facebook, with an announcement of a summer festival gig in Minnesota, the band's first since Dec. 18's Tuscaloosa Get-Up 3. The band had been on hiatus for several years prior.

Brittany Howard pulled a surprise reunion of her breakthrough band in Tuscaloosa in late 2024. In 2025, the Alabama Shakes will hit the road.

Alabama Shakes’ last proper concert was eight years ago at Montreal’s Osheaga festival, after which Howard embarked on a successful solo career. The group reunited for a secret nine-song set in December in Tuscaloosa, Al., and Howard also debuted her new hardcore band, KUMITE, at a recent show in Nashville.
